FAQ

  • What is Nourished On Time?

Nourished On Time is a telehealth nutrition practice that provides personalized nutrition care for adults managing chronic health conditions or recovering from a hospital stay. You’ll work one-on-one with a registered dietitian who helps you feel stronger, improve lab results, and confidently manage your nutrition from the comfort of home.

  • How do virtual appointments work?

Appointments are held securely online through a video link from a HIPAA compliant software. You’ll receive a link by email or text before your session. During your visit, we’ll review your goals, medical history, and daily habits, then create a plan that fits your lifestyle. Many clients say telehealth makes it easier to stay consistent and relaxed during their sessions.

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes. Nourished On Time accepts several insurance plans and can verify your benefits before your first visit. If your insurance doesn’t cover nutrition counseling, self-pay options are also available. We know paying for care can be difficult, so we’ll help you understand your options before getting started.

  • Can you help if I just got out of the hospital?

Absolutely. Nutrition plays a big role in recovery. We work closely with patients who are regaining strength, healing from surgery, or managing new diet recommendations after a hospital stay. We’ll review your discharge instructions and help you make practical, sustainable food choices that support your recovery.

  • What conditions do you help with?

We provide care for a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, digestive concerns, malnutrition, and unintentional weight loss. Whether you’re trying to prevent complications or improve your day-to-day energy, your plan will be personalized to your medical needs and preferences.

  • What should I expect during my first appointment?

Your first session lasts about 60 minutes. We’ll talk about your health history, medications, and goals, then start building a plan that feels realistic for you. You’ll leave with a few specific steps to take right away — and follow-up visits are available to keep you supported and on track over time, making adjustments as needed or building on previous diet adjustments.
